My Christmas Tree is done!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a little late this year.  My family thinks Dec. 3 is just crazy. lol.  I'm just glad it is up, all the little houses are arranged, outside lights are up..... Now I get to start on cookies.  I still have a few gifts waiting by my sewing machine. Hope everyone's holidays are great.  Mine will be.

Christmas Gifts....

Busy working on Christmas gifts again this weekend. I got this one to the laundromat this morning to 'rag' it.  I think it turned out really nice.  I hope the recipient likes it as much as I do. If not, it is mine. lol

Christmas Purse

This fun purse has led lights in the front pocket.  Purse is 13"wide, 11" tall, and 5" deep. There is a light on and off switch in the pocket of the purse. Two layers of batting make it a very sturdy purse.  The ties on the side can be untied  to use the purse as a tote bag.  Button closure.

Professional tote

I did this purse for one of Eileen's clients. I wasn't sure how the colors would work together, but they turned out better than I expected.  Hopefully this is one of the last of this type of tote I will be making for a while.  The interfacing used in these is a royal pia.  I need to look for something that will let the bag hold its shape, but isn't quite so stiff. It really makes it hard to work with.

Green grocery bags

Another more 'manly' grocery bag. You could probably get hubby to carry this one.

Fabric grocery bags

What's much better than those plastic bags the grocery stores give you?  A fabric one that holds twice as much food as any of those do. I have used mine for over 3 years, and it is still going strong. They are machine washable.  16 inches high, 14 inches wide, and 7 1/2 inches deep. And you aren't putting the plastic bags in the landfills.
Plus you can fold it up and it fits in your purse.

Winter Wallhanging

What's better than a cold snowman on a hot July day?  I love this wallhanging.  It can be displayed all winter. Not just for Christmas.  Made with quilt-shop quality fabrics, it can be cold water washed, and hang to dry.  May need ironing.  14 1/2 by 48 inches.

4th Of July Wallhanging

I have never done a 4th of July wallhanging before. Decided I needed to have something for this holiday too. This is done in applique. Not something I usually do, but, as you can see, I went ahead with it. It also has sparkling gems around the fireworks.

Steering Wheel Covers

These are my new line of steering wheel covers. I don't link the kind they sell in the store, so I made up my own.  Plus, mine can be washed and dryed. A better value in my opinion. And who likes basic black anyway?

They can be made in your choice of fabric, or you can choose from the ones I have made.  These fit a 14 inch steering wheel. You will have to let me know if you need another size.
They are $15.00/plus s/h . I will take them off the cardboard liner to ship, so it shouldn't cost more than a few dollars. They don't weigh much. Thanks...

When you don't have a greenhouse.......

Make one of your own. lol.  I saw a portable greenhouse at Lowe's early in March and thought I should get it. But, procrastinator that I am, I didn't.  When I went back this week to see if they still have them, no such luck.  My seedlings are doing too well to keep in the windows of my house.  So, after giving it some thought, I came up with this.

I bought a cheap shower curtain liner. It was the perfect fit to cover both
sides. I tucked the liner under the shelf in the back, and used clothespins to
attach it to the front of the shelves.  I also used the clothespins to hold the sides
in pleats.  The liner cost me 2.34 at Target . I already
had the shelves, and the block was from some landscaping we had done
a few years ago.  It's very heavy, so it should withstand our 'many' windstorms.  I won't
have to worry about covering the plants if it goes below 32 degrees. Western
PA is famous for getting below 32 into May, so we have to protect them. When they
are big enough I will transplant into the ground. Fold up the plastic, and save it for
next year.  A very cheap 'greenhouse'.

Springtime Quilt

I just finished this quilt today. And since it is National Quilting Day, its a double goodie. This has been almost finished for over a year. All it needed was the binding.  And since today is NQD, I decided what better day to finish it.  The pic isn't really a good one. It's hanging on the wall that is beside the steps, so , no matter how you take the pic, you only get half the quilt.
It's really nice to have one with springtime colors up on the wall.  Brightens up the whole stairway.
